April
Saturday, April 21
April's outing is a return to Muncie Imports for their 12th Annual Tech Session & Car
Show. Gary Bartlett is again the featured speaker; it is always interesting to hear
of his vintage racing and rallying. Following the morning program, group lunch is
hosted by our friends at JAGIN, the Indiana Jaguar club. Following lunch, Dr. Richard
Foster's collection in New Castle is open for the afternoon. If you have not seen
this collection of Jaguars, Corvettes, etc., and memorabilia, it is not to be missed.
Every time I return, I find something interesting I had not seen before.
March
On Saturday, March 24, we'll visit the Cincinnati Museum Center in historic Union
Terminal, and take the escorted tour of its famous Rotunda. The plan is to meet
between 11:00 a.m. and noon, to take the 12:00 noon tour. The tour takes about 45
minutes. Also available to visit is "Tower A", the restored control tower for the
train yard (this was highlighted this week on Fox News special on the evening of
the Ohio primary election)...note the tower visit will require using stairs. Both
the Rotunda tour and the Tower A access is at no charge. The Museum Center opens
at 10 a.m. if anyone wants to arrive early to visit any of the museum areas (ticket
required), eat, or the store. See Cincy Museum
for details about facilities and attractions. Union Terminal is located beside I-75
near downtown Cincinnati. Parking fee at the museum is $6.00 per car. Following
our tour, we will go to lunch (mid-afternoon lunch, that is) at a convenient interesting
restaurant (TBD, depending on number attending).

June
Saturday, June 4
Three related activities are planned
1. Muncie Imports is again hosting an open house at their restoration shop in Muncie,
Indiana, on Saturday morning. Gary Bartlett will again be the guest speaker, probably
relating his experience driving from Coventry to Geneva in his E-type as part of
Jaguar Heritage's 50th Anniversary Tour, recreating Norman Dewis' 1961 fast trip
to bring a second car to the unveiling of the E-type at the Geneva auto show. Pre-program
continental breakfast starts at 9 a.m., with program at 10 a.m.
2. The Indiana Jaguar Club (JAGIN) is also hosting a lunch at a nearby country club.
3. An afternoon visit to Richard Foster's spectacular collection of Jaguars and
other significant collector cars in New Castle, Indiana.
Any of these 3 activities, or all of this day is available for us. Please reply
by end of evening on Thursday, May 26, if you wish to participate and indicate which
activity (or all 3), so I can make reservations for us. Based on numbers going,
we can carpool, caravan, or meet up on the way. Muncie is about 96 miles from West
Chester, so expect about a 2-hour drive each way. Again, the program starts at 10
a.m.
Sunday, June 12,
Second event in June is our annual parking at the Ault Park Concours d'Elegance. The club is sponsoring the
special class of E-types: 50th Anniversary. We expect 11 E-types of all varieties
to be on the center show field, getting lots of attention for the cars and our club.
Our parking area will not hold more than 10 cars, so first come, first served for
space...Jaguars only, please. We will have the tickets at the parking area, which
is across from the ticket booth/bus stop at the park. Free remote parking shuttle
is available again from the old Swallens lot on Red Bank Expressway, if our club
parking is full or you are driving a non-Jag.
